strungup
Please help me id this 80-86 gibson. It has an ebony fingerboard and Kahler locking trem likely factory installed and also has zebra type humbuckers. ive seen a few challanger 2 pics but the input jack and toggle arent the same nor have i seen one with a kahler tremelo any ideas or help is appreciated. I have an original Bill Lawrence (pre his employment with Gibson) that looks quite similar but it has a unique 3 post bridge that Bill then (1980s)suggested could with modification make a good tremelo . He took this Idea to Gibson while then working on designs of making a similar Guitar but Gibson said he was over budget 50 bucks or so. I emailed Him and sent photos of my Lawrence to have him confirm it was one of his prototypes from a factory in Japan who he had make them
ESPguy
Looks like a special, but the photos are a little unclear. I had something similiar that someone said was a Sonnex, but you can't believe everything you hear. Does the truss rod cover say anything?
