SG Lou Posted October 9, 2008 Share Posted October 9, 2008 Hey Admin, I spoke with Tony Iommi and his guitar tech this past summer while hanging with them backstage and they both told me that Gibson gave the green light on the Monkey SG project. Mike Clement ( Tony's tech ) mentioned that you folks had already taken plenty of referrence material off of the original which is at the NYC Hard Rock Cafe. Do you know of any release date and, being the original pickups in the SG are a highly modified P-90 and a John Birch pickup, who will be supplying those pickups for you guys or will they be made "in house" ? Mike also mentioned to me that he thinks this will be a Limited Run of 125 to 150 pieces. Can you confirm this as well ? I'd like to be in line for one but i'm under the impression that this will be, being it's a limited run, along the lines of the Page EDS-1275 and sell for big bucks !
