LarryUK Posted September 4, 2011 Share Posted September 4, 2011 I went to pick the Melody Maker up this afternoon that I'd won on EBay. The seller kept me on the doorstep. He wanted me to take the guitar without checking, which I thought odd. So I looked as much as I could on the driveway. Anyhow. I've got home and there's a crack running down the fretboard from the nut. The neck has a split. Why do people try to pass on these things. It's going back tomorrow. Frankly one of the reasons I don't buy or sell guitars often is the hassle, I become anxious at the thought of poor craftsmanship on new guitars and the sneaky sales strategies on used guitars...and it happens all.of.the.time.
