kensol
Hi all Just got my Sheraton II today, and I love it. Just one thing.. The 3-way switch is kinda loose in the middle posision, you can wiggle it somwhat about. This doesn't seem to have any impact on the tone, and the switch "base" is fastened securely to the guitar. Is this normal on these? My Gibson Les Paul Studio 3-way switch is a little bit wiggly in the middle posision, but not as much as this. So is it one of those things you get for not getting the real deal (335)? Ken

So is it one of those things you get for not getting the real deal (335)? Ken Some of Epi's electronics can be a little flimsy, here and there. I don't think you are experiencing anything unusual with your new Sheraton - the switch on my 2008 Casino was garbage, too. The good news - Epis are great guitars for an amazing price, and the little compromises this sometimes involves (switches being an excellent example), are cheap and easy fixes... damian
Replace it with a Switchcraft.........Yes, they will wiggle a bit........
Morkolo
I wouldn't worry about it too much, it's a well known problem with Epiphone's. Just swap it out for a Switchcraft like Lord Summerisle suggested.
BillyGibson
My 2006 Sheri's is solid as a rock and is the original one. I have seen newer ones where the switch had some play in them. I don't care for it, but if it works and you like the guitar, keep it. No reason to replace the switch on a new guitar unless it's broken. But if it bugs you, take it back. kensol
Thanks for the info guys. The dealer told me to call him today, so I'll see what he suggests. The guitar isn't in stock at the norwegian importer, and this Sheraton was the only one I could find. I might just ask him for a price cut, and then get it changed to a Switchcraft, like you guys said. @eggmuffins: I get it...
