1954 Blond Gibson L7C-P

Recommended Posts

It is a plectrum guitar. Scale length is 26 to 27". It's a transitional instrument designed to ease the move from banjo to guitar. The bow ties are not placed like a regular guitar but for a banjo. See the marker at the 10th fret instead of the 9th. Throws me off a little.

There are many ways to tune it. Old school is to tune like a banjo CGBD or DGBD, but it can be tuned to the bottom four, top four or middle four strings of the guitar. I've got it strung with the bottom four strings of a flat wound set of guitar strings, my favorite so far.
