Achilles Papamoschos Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Hello to everyone. I wonder if you can help me with my serial number. It is 91386356 Is there anyone that could give me some informations about that? Thank you in advance :)
BigKahune Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 . According to the serial# you posted the guitar was made in 1996. Email Gibson at service@gibson.com with the serial number and they should be able to tell you what model, finish, etc.
Achilles Papamoschos Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 Thank you for the response Big..
JKHillSG Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 according to how gibson serial numbers work, your guitar was made on the 138th day of the year 1996 and was in the third batch. i'm not 100% confident on this but the first and fifth number tell you the year, the three in between give you the day of the year, and the sixth tells you the batch number. i believe they make 699 guitars a batch. i'm pretty sure about the first 6 numbers and the last three not so sure of. as big said, you should contact gibson for more details
BobB Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Back in 1996, that number was used on an SG Standard that had heritage cherry finish and chrome hardware. It was shipped on June 27th of 1996.
Achilles Papamoschos Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 I sent an email to Gibson Service and the next day they replied to me. Thats exactly as you re saying mates... :) Thank you
