Slackdaddy Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I just wanted to share how I have been using my Epiphone RumbleKat bass. The following is a video of my band, The HEAP (Athens, GA) with our special guests, Domingo "Sunny" Ortiz from Widespread Panic. I would love to hear what you think:
Morkolo Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Your tone sounds a lot like Felix Pappalardi's from Mountain in a couple of your videos and if you don't know who he is than take it as a huge compliment. Looks like you guys are having a lot of fun!
Goingdownslow Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 It sounds like you are playing it as a four string rhythm guitar. What is the bass player using?
Slackdaddy Posted November 14, 2011 Author Posted November 14, 2011 It sounds like you are playing it as a four string rhythm guitar. What is the bass player using? That is pretty much what I do. I string it A-D-G-C so I can stay out of Jeff's (the other bass player) way. Jeff is playing a Squier Jazz bass. He also uses a Kydd upright. It is a REALLY fun band.
Hungrycat Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 That is pretty much what I do. I string it A-D-G-C so I can stay out of Jeff's (the other bass player) way. So like a Tenor Guitar? You ought to try some piccolo bass strings.
6string Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Now that's just plain fun! You guys sound great...so nice to have a band with horns in it too. Very cool music, thanks for posting the video.
