stringitup
My buddy just bought a epiphone korina flying v bass. He had it shipped to the store as it was in another state. Out of all the info there was on the guitar no one was able to tell him what kind of strings were put on it. Anyone have any idea what kind of strings a korina flying V would be initially equipped with?
Hungrycat
Probably Gibson strings, gauged .45-1.05. It doesn't really matter though. Strings are probably the most subjective aspect about guitars and basses.

I use a short scale EB-3 with either Pyramid Nickel 40-100 or D'Addario Halfrounds (DNR71S, shortscale) and an EB-0 with Pyramid Nickel in 45-105. I like them all. As long as You like a deep, full tone without completly losing the highs the halfrounds are a great choice. As far as i remember from sound samples, the EB-3 ist fuller, which means that their V-Bass might profit a lot from "deeper" sounding strings. Also subjective, of course, and meant as a hint to find Your own preferences.
RobinTheHood
LIke HungryCat said, they are most likely Gibson strings. They are pretty standard on Epiphones. The stock string guage should be .105, .080, .065, .045. ooops...guess he covered that too.
