BlackDot
Hi, everyone. New to the forum and wanted to draw on your collective knowledge. Recently read a review of Epi guitars on another site and it mentioned that Epi's do not use wood veneers for their guitar finishes. Instead, it claimed they use a pre-printed sheet of plastic/paper. Any idea if this is true? Do any of you know if other manufacturers do this too? Thanks.

tweed2
If it's plastic/paper, it's freakin' thick plastic/paper! Really? Where did you read this? And before I go.... welcome to the forum. You'll like it here. Most of the stuff you'll read here is the truth.
BlackDot
Thanks, everyone. I figured this group would have a better grasp of the situation. I got the bad info from a review of an Epi Les Paul on the GC website. Thanks for the welcomes, too.

Unfortunately, many are also written by one of two types of shoppers. Those who would not know a photo finish if it bit them on their Christmas ornaments. and... Those who spend most of their time shopping for corks to sniff. Willy
