LP4Me Posted January 3, 2012 Share Posted January 3, 2012 The new Classic Plus models have the same pickups, but with a flamed ("plus") top, but the fretboards are now baked maple. Aside from the new classic plus being a tad brighter because of the different fretboard wood, it sounds almost identical to my 2008 Classic. Malchik Posted January 3, 2012 Share Posted January 3, 2012 The Traditional is more or less the Classic before the Standard became the Standard 2008 and the Classic changed to the Traditional.
