I've got several covers that I love to play, but I can't sing them worth a crap. I've always liked the song "Runaway," but I can't sing it like Del Shannon did. No way I can do that falsetto. Finally, it dawned on me to sing it the way that is best for me. Maybe it takes a different key or a more or less energetic approach. Just do it your way.
