Plastic Bridge on 1963 Gibson J-50

Since I got this guitar, I've looked checked dealer listings and Ebay auctions for '63-'64 Gibsons/Epiphones-quite a few of the senior models still have these bridges on them, so apparently a fair amount survived intact.

Picked up a '66 Epi Cortez last year, and was surprised to find the plastic bridge 100% structurally sound, along with the top wood & bridge plate. Not so with a '65 B-25 I bought back around 1980. You just never know with these bridges.
