FAKES!!! and they are selling them as made in the USA and made in China

I have asked the same question here and in other forums... and no one comes forward with an explanation or idea...

 

If you put your own name on it, then you're just another $300 Gibson copy competing against a hundred other $300 Gibson copies. You're likely only going to get a 1% piece of that pie.

 

Now, put Gibson on the headstock and you have something that puts you above those 99 other brands. Even the guy who knowingly buys it as a "replica" is doing so because of the name on the headstock. You've probably increased that 1% to at least 20%.
