mikep
I plan to install a new set of pups for my Wildkat. What would you recommend as a good alternative in terms of sound and bite? Would a Seymour Duncan P90 be easily installed and will fit the guitar? How about Gibson P 90s? Lindy Fralins P 90s? Thanks for the advices and opinions. Versatile
Hi and welcome to the forums.... Many P/U mfgs have sound clips and installation dimensions on their sites which can be informative So much depends on volume levels, playing style, aspirations etc A chat with your local guitar tech could be worthwhile too... Blueman335
Welcome aboard! Wildcats have two dog ear P-90's, right? If so, look on eBay for used dog ears, you can often get high quality ones for about half pricen when they're used.
poopcicle
Don't know if this carries true for all but Lollar is a great pick up and you should read his note at the bottom on Epi Casinos and Wildkats! http://www.lollarguitars.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=LGP&Product_Code=202&Category_Code=P90-pickups
eor
If you insist on retaining the look of the current pickups, you can send them to lollar, who will then put his stuff in there. If you are cool with plastic covers bg pickups makes a nice affordable p90. Duncan antiquities and gibsons are also common.
