telepbrman
I was reading up on the EL-00...I see an older one, white button keys listed as short scale, and a rotomatic grover key'd one listed as long scale? Is that right? Also, I notice the Limited Edition AJ-45 had white button keys and was listed as short scale, then rotomatic grover keys were introduced and then listed as long scale...am I right about this one also??? Thanks, dy......
RobinTheHood
From what I gather, the regular EL00 is 24.75" scale and the Elitist EL00 was a 25.5" scale. That is how Epiphone has them listed on thier website anyway. http://www.epiphone.com/Products/Acoustic/EL-00.aspx http://www2.epiphone.com/elitist/l00.htm

The spec printout I was given confirms the EL-00 as a 24 3/4" scale model. Unfortunately, it's back ordered until June, so it will be several months before I have it in-hand. The dealer ordered 2 of them due to the back order and offered to allow me to pick the one I like when they arrive. I'm guessing these are pretty consistent so there shouldn't be anything much apart to select from tone wise I am guessing.

Sounds like you're on a guitar buying spree! As for the AJ-45, the 1998 catalog lists it as 25.5"scale, and the 1999 & 2002 catalogs list it as 24.75" scale. The Elitist and non-Elitist J-45 is listed as 24.75" scale.

Yes, but sadly the spree is about ended. The EL-00 at $360 w/case ($280 for the guitar + an extra $80 for the case) is ALOT easier on the wallet than the $1,800+ Blues King (which the dealer actually has in stock and it's been there for quite some time)... So $$ wise the EL-00 was an easy decision since the B.K. in my estimation is not nearly $1,500 better...
