afireinside
Ok so I was wanting one of the $600 SG HH Specials but they are sold out at Clown Centers by me. So I started looking on CL and I found a '04 Cherry Faded stock with a Gator Case. Was in pretty good shape except a pretty large scratch in the finish on the backside. 2pc center jointed body with pretty cool looking grain. Research led me to believe it was still a Ebony board before the '05 change over but looks to be RW to me. Here is my first SG! Oh and he took $425.00 cash

AlanH
Many congrats! You'll really enjoy it- these sound and feel great! That scratch, on its own, must be a bit vexing. Perhaps you need to treat that one as a player's guitar and let it get a few more battle scars in order to give it some mojo.

afireinside
The scratch was a bummer...... the pics he sent me did show it but with the faded finish I dident see it at first glance. But I am a huge fan of the fadeds/satin finished guitars. I had a faded explorer that I really regret selling.......... I loved that guitar but can't find one for a sane price. This one is pretty great the neck pup is amazing the bridge is pretty thin and trebely. Mods so far are pup covers and black/silver reflector knobs
outforblood
I love a thin satin nitro finish. I have a 2001 SG Gothic that feels and plays like buttah!
afireinside
What I really want is a LP, SG or Explorer Voodoo!

XPAULPITT
The scratch gives it character. Isnt that the point of the faded series anyway, to look like a well played guitar. Guitars are fer playin not lookin at. Nice fiddle man.
