a7d7e7
Gibson Les Paul, color is black, it's a 2005 Standard. The guitar was hardly played, never left his house on gigs or anything, and all the pictures the seller sent me look fabulous. What would be a good offer to the seller for this mint-looking Les Paul? He's asking 2,000.00. Can't tell you how much I appreciate all the help I've been getting from you folks. Regards, Mark
a7d7e7
Nevermind, the seller just sold it before I could make a counter-offer. Oh, well.
Cooperstowncook
If this helps you in the future, I bought a 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard with a red wine finish off of Ebay for $1400 + shipping just last year. It was in excellent shape too.

Tim Plains
$2,000 is way too much. You can get a used/mint '57 or '58 reissue for that much. Up to $1,500 for a mint Standard burst finish (unless it has an absolute monster top).
kidblast
Nevermind, the seller just sold it before I could make a counter-offer. Oh, well. I agree the asking price was too high. especially for a black one, new ones with killer tops are just 500 bucks more. If I was going 2k, I could go 2.5k for the new one, hands down. Just curious, what did he sell it for?

A followup email asking what he sold it for was never answered.
