bbbacres
I've run into this older guitar and the owner says it is an old Epiphone. The name on the headstock is gone. Whatever was there was NOT an inlay, but an ONLAY of some kind. At first I assumed it could not thus be an Epiphone, but researching the net found epiphones with mounted nameplates. Can anyone help me ID this? The pickup is a black soapbar type with screws, NOT a humbucker. Aster1
Welcome. BTW, you may get more help if you use a photo server that doesn't require you to join. I tried to look at your photo's but don't have any interest in joining any more sites. You could copy the direct links and post to a message. Copy the direct link from your photo server and then use the "Insert Image" icon (2 to right of smile face) above the text box. Aster
flyingarmadillo
I've got Snapfish so I got a look. It looks like it could be one of the Emperor series with a single P-90.
PJ
I took a quick look...it's certainly modeled after some designs that Epiphone has produced through the years, but I'm not sure it's an Epiphone. Could be almost anything. The peghead looks more Gibson-like than Epiphone. I really can't say - any paper label inside the f-holes? Or, any other marking inside the guitar? I thought it looked like an old style Epiphone. The discoloration where the logo was is about the shape for the old Epiphone logo (see the '61 RI Casino.)
