hello...

arniemax stepping into the group..

I am 5 minutes new. I NEED A BIT OF HELP.FEEL FREE TOO EMAIL IF YOU CAN HELP..

OK...I HAVE (MY 3rd,or4th) EPI SHERATON. I LOVE THESE GUITARS !!!

HOWEVER..MY RECENT 1989 MODEL (SAMICK) HAS THE 'EARLY' STYLE BRIDGE WITH THE 'RARE'

POST SPACING OF...72.5 MM....*** WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE THEY REPLACEMENTS??

..OR MUST I JUST GET GRPAHTECH SADDLES?

THIS IS THE FIRST RED SHERATON I HAVE SEEN...HAD TO BUY IT.

THE BINDING ON THE NECK COVERS THE FRET EDGES..LIKE A GIBSON, OR..ANY WELL MADE GUITAR IT SEEMS IN MY EXPERIENCE.

THANKS...ARNIE.

I just dealt with the same issue on my Korean-made, Samick-built Epiphone Dot from 2001.

It is nearly impossible to find a drop-in replacement. Everything seems to be 74mm these days.

I bought a Wilkinson roller bridge and it didn't fit.

Solution: I took a drill and made each post hole on the new bridge about 1mm larger. Fits now.

My guitar tech said that this was a common solution to the problem.

Good luck!

I want a Sheraton too! :)

Hi Arnie, did you get your bridge problem solved. I was curious what you did to fix the problem,

Thanks

Welcome to the Forum Arnie !!

we LOVE our Sherris here....

i'm not sure, but either Stewmac, or Allparts (.com on both) might have your bridge....if not, installing new saddles isn't very hard to do, as long as the sizes(width) are right

if & when you get a chance, i'd love to see a pic of the Red Sheri...and any other geets you have.

here's my Sweetie, I play it as much as, or more than, my Gibbys....

only change i've made is installing 18/1 Grover Supers w/Imperial buttons
