I had a 260 for some time and it was devastating! Mine was a bit under the weather and the Variamp and Fuzz weren't working 100%, but even so it was a monster. Those 360 pre-amps could overdrive quite a bit too. I'm a super ACC hound and I love their contributions to heavy. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sinner 13 Posted November 30, 2012 Share Posted November 30, 2012 I think the Boogies of back then had the most gain, but they weren't as heavy as Marshalls. Pretty much at that point, all the metal bands I was into were all Marshall guys, so my vote is for the old reliable, JMP Plexis, to bad a lot of the original late sixties models got modded and burned up in LA in the mid late eighties by the hair metal scene.
