JuanCarlosVejar
folks , I got a few questions : 1. did the first ones have two piece or three piece backs ? 2. what is the pickguard made from ? it's seems in 2006 they started putting a red guard on it before they used some kind of faux shell thanks for any info JC

Hogeye
I'm not sure what guitar you are talking about but if it's the one they are calling the "Western Classic prewar 200 I will give you a few of my thoughts. The Gibson marketing dept says this is a painstaking recreation of the original Ray Whitley guitar. They used the wrong script logo. The tuners are incorrect. The headstock binding is incorrect. The pickgard material is wrong. The website says it should be black. The website photo shows a tortise style and the Ray Whitley had a ice chip pattern. Other than the picky details I have mentioned it looks like a very nice guitar. Too bad it isn't Brazilian Rosewood.
