frenchie1281734003
I am in the process of trading my 2010 Gibson J-200 standard for a 1994 J-200 special, basically because it sounds better than my 2010 version and is quite a bit lighter in the weight department (I also have a J-100 Xtra from 94 which is my favourite guitar, and helped sway my decision). The owner tells me that this J-200 special has Rosewood back and sides, but I am not convinced, and I don`t think it`s Koa either. Does anyone know the specs of the 1994 J-200 special? Any help appreciated, and at present I cannot supply photo`s, however "Gibson`s fabulous flat-tops" book has the model described as the J-200 "International special", available in both 94 & 96. There was also a J-200 International special Koa too, but that is a different model. Steve.
