milod Posted February 15, 2013 Share Posted February 15, 2013 When I was a kid, the local dentist still had the foot-operated drill - and little had changed in his office since the turn of the century. OTOH, he made some terrifyingly good combat knives for each of the town's WWII soldiers. Imagine a knife that can cut through 1/3 inch saddle leather as if it were warm butter... The drill scared me more than the knives he'd made, btw. Doc Holliday was supposedly a very good dentist for his era, but his TB cough kinda scared away customers, which had something to do with him switching professions into gambling in frontier communities... m Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
