Agreed.........I currently have an Epi TV Yellow & a Godin KingPin II - both with P90's and they BOTH are great GITS My Gretsch doesn't get much time these days............ chipwich Posted February 26, 2013 Author Share Posted February 26, 2013 OK, tonight I ran a Midtown P90 through a Big Muff Pi into my Yamaha practice amp, which has some overdrive modeling and got some pretty good tone working on the main riff from When My Train Comes In. Wanted to run the combo through my Blues Deluxe, since Gary Clark Jr. likes Princetons, but my wife is expecting and understandably sensitive to sound . I think the right signal path is going to work out to be pretty simple, probably guitar -> fuzz -> overdriven tube amp, maybe a touch of compressor before fuzz.
