A great Mountain song when it came out in 1970, still a great Mountain song in 2013. On the back of the Climbing! album, a note from Felix Pappalardi stated, "This album was recorded loud, to be played louder." He was right. RIP Felix, my friend.

It's on the Woodstock 2 album, but rumor has it it wasn't actually recorded at Woodstock.

If it's on the internet, it has to be true. They played it at Woodstock. "Blood Of The Sun" was from the solo album Leslie West, Mountain. Pappalardi did produce the solo L.W. Mountain album. A pre Mountain Band. Prior to Felix Pappalardi, Leslie West, Corky Laing, and Steve Knight forming the band, Mountain.

A lot of Mountains around here.

Songs performed at 9:00 PM Sat. Aug. 16, 1969 The second day of Woodstock. By Mountain. Norman D. Smart II, was the drummer in Mountain for that until, he was replaced after Woodstock by a Mountain Roadie, Corky Laing.
