Cougar
As I understand it, most all Epis are now made in China (and from my experience, the recently made guitars are excellent quality). Apparently the Epi Emperor Swingster used to be made in Samick's Indonesia factory (or at least somewhere in Indonesia). When did they move from Indonesia to China? Cougar
...most of the 'entry level' lines are made by Samick, Indonesia... The Emperor Swingster is an entry level line? When was the last Indonesian Swingster put out?
kidblast
the spec page on website still says made in Indo but on the guitar itself, I can't find any place where it says where it was made. Unlike the Korean made which will always have that sticker on the back of the headstock. I have a recently acquired a Swingster Royale (White), build quality is pretty good (I can't say AWESOME because mine does have a few finish flaws, but these are all cosmetic) it plays good and sounds really good tho. kidblast
Where on the spec page does it say where it's been made ? Please show a link. If the serial is YYMM23.... it is made in Indonesia If the serial is YYMM21.... it is made in Korea If the serial is YYMM15.... it is made in China I am Sorry, but it is not there, I was sure it was there that I saw that tho. kidblast
The country of manufacture never ever was mentioned on a spec-list - except for the made in Japan Elite/Elitist models or the few US made guitars. I saw it listed SOMEWHERE -- I just can't recall where..
