kebob
The guitar was light as a feather (even with pickup installed) and it was a tone monster. I was surprised by the amount of bottom end to it, considering it's a hog guitar. Great guitar for $1,600 -- if I hadn't just bought a SJ-200, it probably would have followed me home. I could have sat there and played it all day. The only thing I didn't like about it is the tiger stripe pickguard -- just not a fan of that look. Oh, and the pickguard was positioned around the outside of the rosette :) Color me impressed.

The G
I can't wait to try one of these. I was actually at my local guitar store today who are Gibson dealer. They hadn't even heard of the J-35 .I had to talk them into ordering one for the store. :(
