DennisB643
After searching for more than I year for the right 12 string, I picked up this Nouveau Gibson model NV-12. There seems to be some controversy regarding exactly how many 12 strings were made (some speculate 10-12). Traditional wisdom has it that the NV-12 was handmade in the Gibson facility on a custom order basis. Gibson finally realized they were losing money on every Nouveau guitar and downgraded the quality and marketed them as Epiphone before ending the line in three short years. Her bones were unmistakable when I first picked her up. Beautiful mahogany back, great action. I had a piece of trim replaced on the back and had her set up with medium strings tuned to C#. Anyone interested in the Nouveau line should check it out on the web or on Epiphone wiki. Seller was asking $550...I got it for $400.
