ne_buddy
Just a quick question, y'alls, and apologies if this has been asked and/or answered elsewhere. I'd like to set the optimal p'up height on my minibucker-equipped Riviera. I'm going for a full-on hard rock/punk overdrive sound through a Blues Jr. If that's a sound you Riv'maniacs know well, please share your insights. What p'up height would be best (i.e., distance between pole pieces and bottom of strings with string held at 12th fret)? And, how high can the mini's go before generating magnetic interference on the strings? In the meantime, I'll be tweaking it by ear. Thanks in advance! peeper
It really depends, there is no "right" set up specs for a guitar. Use your ears not a measuring rule.

Figstrum
There are some measurements in here that might help you. But, ultimately, Musikron has the best response. The measurements in the post are just a good starting point. Good Luck! http://forums.epiphone.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=13542
