bluezguy
Does anybody know specifically, what materials the humbucker baseplates and covers are made from? Is it American steel or off-shore mass produced or what?? I've spent literally over $2000 on Gibson pickups in the last 14 - 15 years - experimenting with various combinations etc ... therefore , I feel I deserve an accurate answer from someone TRULY in the know. I'm not asking for ancient Gibson secrets ... just the makeup of these 2 components. Are they the same baseplates and covers as the 50s and 60s PAFs? If so, then I already know. Somehow, I don't think that they would be the same as that era. Who knows? Also, can anyone recommend the best and most informative book on specifically Gibson guitar pickups?
