pippy
I'm trying to work out some pot codes. The only markings on them are as follows; EP 086 500K 0473 There is an outside chance that the first and fourth 0's are O's but it's unlikely. Anyone any ideas? Thanks in advance! P. cjsinla
I found a site that suggests that they are Allparts part numbers for CTS pots and that the last four digits have something to do with the date they were made. Allparts
cookieman15061
Woah! Reefer is now coded. It's been a while since I bought any but it probably is easier to inventory that way.
pippy
Thanks for that link. So if I understand it correctly they are CTS but not with the usual CTS code? OK... P.
badbluesplayer
EP means extra precision or something like that. They are the selected pots with the tighter tolerances. Usually stamped at a different time than the rest of the code
pippy
Thanks, BBP. I'd never heard that nugget before! P.
