Joe M
I just received the latest mini catalog from GC and on page 52 there is a pic of Gibson's new J35 which appears to have metal buttons on the tuners, not the white plastic ones as on every one I've ever seen, including mine. Is this a photo illusion or has anyone seen one with metal buttons? Anyone else have the catalog and notice what I have? Curious mind(s) want to know. 62burst
Guess it was just a trick of the light. The Guitar Center website shows the tuner buttons as white. Link: J-35 @ GC What; the J-35 is only available with electronics?
CrazyHeart
First time I saw it too without the white buttons.
larryp58
I was the GC in Charlotte, NC yesterday. I played the new J-35. It had white buttons. I enjoyed playing the J-35. I was very impressed with it. Taking for granted it was a "display" guitar which I knew would need new strings and a set-up, I tuned it up correctly and gave it a whirl. Played much like a J-45. Very good sound overall. Nice volume, rich tone. Struck me as a "J-45 Basic" if there ever was gonna be one! For the money, a great buy! I see Gibson selling a lot of these guitars.
