mr
What polish do you recommend for a VOS guitar with the nitro finish....the polish from the vintage reissue 3 pack or the luthier's choice polish? Thanks
Custom Admin
i don't recommend ANY polish, as the VOS finish can be wiped off if rubbed hard enough. i recommend very occasional and light use of a dry cloth only to clean off your VOS guitar. Do you mean the entire finish will come off, or just the sort of aged look that is added to it? Thanks!
Archer993
I've posted elsewhere about this but after about 3 hours of playing time and wiping the neck with the Gibson supplied cloth the neck of my VOS finished NEW Jimmy Page Signature is now quite GLOSSY between the 1st and 5th frets. prakashananda
Just the aged look...the nitro itself will be fine. OK, thanks for that clarification. I had heard of people buffing theirs out to a glossy finish so it's good to know that is an option if desired. Thanks again!
