I know that my 1991 Howard Roberts from Nashville follows the same basic numbering arrangement as the Bozeman acoustics do. But then it's a Henry-era guitar, whereas 1984 would be pre-Henry, and I don't know for sure whether the serial numbers already followed the current pattern back then.
