jc1funk
Just wondering if anyone here is right into Ian MacKaye and his work in Fugazi in particular. Interested in what you know about his SG and his rig (JCM800) apart from what he says publicly: that he's just a Guitar > Lead > Amp > PLAY! kinda guy. cjsinla
My SG's all sound great through my JCM800. It's a good combination once you get the amp dialed in.
EVOL!
Ian MacKaye is a legend. I like a lot of his stuff, although I only own Steady Diet of Nothing by Fugazi. His new band The Evens is killer. Another plug and play setup. I keep tabs on his happenings from my drummer. He grew up in DC in the late eighties and was around all of that DC, Discord, 9:30 Club scene.
surfpup
Man, haven't listened to them in a while, but I went through a serious Fugazi phase. And I think you are right - SG into Marshall and that's it. Hard to beat that sound!
