charlie brown
Trapdoorspider, did you ever get a proper fitting replacement, tenon cover? CB
RevDavidLee
I understand there won't be any tuning issues (as the bridge will take care of that) but, still, it looks like a bad manufacturing flaw to me. Considering how elegant the design is when it's right that would bother me enough for me to send it back for a replacement. P. Same here. Of course its up to the individual to decide. But with the money we're laying out for Gibson guitars, QC cannot be a hit & miss standard as far as I'm concerned. What's particularly annoying is when the QC card that's enclosed with many of the Gibsons are all checked off & initialed and there's an issue like that someone isn't doing their job. Good luck no matter what the OP decides to do - but I would return it.
charlie brown
I agree, in principle, about returning it. But, if he loves the guitar, in all other aspects, maybe all he really needs to do, is get a correctly sized tenon cover, made? But yeah, absolutely, it SHOULDN'T be necessary, to have to do that!
