Not-Too-Late
I picked up some rubbers -- I know what you're thinking . They are rubber picks called Wedgie rubbers (3.1mm soft). I'm trying to achieve a nice mellow sound from my Epi Les Paul. I changed out the strings to D'Addario XL Flat Wound Chromes, and with the rubber picks, it sounds beautiful. The feel and play of the picks are quite different from the normal plastic ones, but they do produce a nice warm sound minus the pick slap. It will take a little time to acclimate to them, but I really like them. Anyone try them before?
russinator
Have not tried them......yet. But years ago I made a pick out of sheet Teflon and got pretty much the same results.
