E-minor7
Honoured Members - Could you please cast an eye on this bridge. To me it doesn't look original, but again you never know. Gibson turned their bridges around down-belly style approx 1968 and some lost the two pearl dots as well. But this also has a ordinary non-adj. saddle and I can't believe it isn't fixed. http://www.ebay.com/...=item43cc074d7c Might be wrong here - look forward to hear from you . . zombywoof
First a disclaimer - while I have gotten my hands on more than a fair share of square shoulder SJs I do not have much interest in them so have not paid as much attention to the details as I would some other guitar. That said though, I do not recall ever seeing an SJ/SJN built after they Gibson dumped the plastic for the rosewood bridge through the early 1970s that did not have an ADJ bridge. bobouz
The original bridge & saddle assembly has been replaced.
Yorick
Like ZW, I have a disclaimer: I have not played but a handful of SJs or SJNs from the 60s. Nonetheless, I think that that bridge is a replacement. It looks bigger than the standard belly. We can tell that the saddle is newer. I'm thinking a thoughtful former owner swapped out the ADJ. It's a nifty example of the rope-bound CW label, ain't it?
