gearbasher
I haven't posted in a while. And, this is a month old. So, I don't know if it's been posted yet. But, this is for anyone who's been to Mandolin Bros. in NY. Sorry for the sad news. http://mandoweb.com/News/70/Stan+M+Jay%2c+Seller+of+Strings+to+the+Stars%2c+Dies+at+
62burst
Hey- Didn't want to leave you thinking we didn't have a little remembrance for Stan. Juan Carlos V kept us informed on Stan's failing health, and ultimately, his passing: Stan Jay hospitalized and Rest in Peace, Stan. No easy task being the bearer of sad news. Thanks for wanting to make sure we knew. Gearbasher, you're a veteran around this forum; join in for some of the silly goings on when you can ; ). Dave F
Vintage Guitar Magazine did a write up on him in the upcoming January issue and promises another for the February issue. Not for sure if this link will work if you're not a subscriber but I did not want to reprint it. http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/vintageguitar/201501/#/
