digitaldave
Hi all! I've been looking at some of the Epiphone Les Paul guitars, and I'm wondering if any of them have any weight relief? The specific models I've been looking at are the Standard Plus Top Pro and the Tribute Plus. I'm also looking at the Gibson Studio, which I believe has weight relief, but it's hard to get an idea of the relative weights of the different guitars, as the Epiphone web site lists the weight of the guitars, but the Gibson site (at least for the 2015 models) only lists the weight of the body. Thanks, Dave.
Whitmore Willy
Don't know which Gibsons (some are weight relieved)....but.... No Epi L.P. is weight relived. Willy
Parabar
Not true! The Epiphone Ultra Pro series LP has a chambered mahogany body, which does indeed provide weight relief. More details here.

Oops, forgot about the Ultra's. I was thinking Epiphone Standards, Studios, and Customs. Thanks for the correction. Willy
Kenan
Why have weight relief in the first place? Isn't the thicker wood supposed to give fuller, better sound?
fromnabulax
If you're looking for a truly fine Epiphone Les Paul that won't break your back, or your bank account then you owe it to yourself to try the Epiphone Les Paul Florentine PRO. It's light as a feather, it has fabulous tone, incredible playability, coil splittling capability, and gorgeous looks. I simply can not say enough good things about this guitar. Seriuosly. I've mentioned it in a few posts and have recently done some mods on mine which I have a seperate thread on somewhere in here. I think they're going for around $499.00 and are worth every penny! Good luck!
