Willie King
I caught a few minutes of a 1938 Gene Autry film, Western Jamboree where he played a 3/4 size Gibson that looked like a J200 but with the thickness of a Nick Lucas model. It had all the bling and the mustache bridge. Anyone know what model it was? He played a lot of guitars over the years and I heard he wasn't a great horseman. I have noticed when he is on the ground he might have a Martin or Gibson in his hands but if riding a horse he has a Harmony or some lesser quality guitar in his hands. Just curious. JuanCarlosVejar
Willie here's a photo of the guitar : It's a custom model that they made so he could play it while on his horse. JC

Willie King
Yes that is the guitar but he did not play it while on his horse. If you watch he never seems to have a high end guitar on a horse. Thanks!
