Just browsing for some strings and noticed there’s two dadarrio strings

One is 3D and one is just ej16

 

Anyone know what the difference is ?

Only thing I can figure is the 3D means 3 pack, but that seems silly. Must be the 3D seems more life like.

I looked on the dadario web site and I can see strings labeled EXP16 and EJ16 (coated vs non-coated but both phosphor bronze) but I can't see any reference to something called 3D?

Sorry about all the replies, but one last thing, I actually just bought a set of those from the local shop yesterday for $11.40 US. The 3D (3 packs) are going for $18.99. You want to support the local folks, but that's about 2x the price - oooooof!
