EuroAussie
EA, if you don’t mind me asking, how much did you pay for your AJ? Do I remember right that it’s an ex-Buddy Whittington guitar? Prices are all over the map here in the UK. I’m planning to buy another Rosewood AJ next year but have seen them for sale used at everything from £1200 to £3000! Jinder, its actually an ex guitar of Buddy Miller. Belonged to another AGF memeber and Buddy before him. I bought it for $1400 in the US, real good price, but it was bought in 2012 during the GFC peak when guitar prices were real low, its also around the time period when I bought my J-150 and Banner LG-2 at killer prices. MissouriPicker
Great job, Sal. Sometimes we just seem to stumble-on to something and in reality it was simply "meant to be." You and this gentle beast belong together.
Alex_78
Thanks all for weighing in... I wonder if "the fatness" in the tone is long scale? rosewood? Long saddle? all of the above? All of the above, plus forward shifted deeply scalloped bracing.
MorrisrownSal
Weighing in... jammed with a trio tonight. I’m in love with this guitar... That is all!
J45fan
Congrats on your AJ. They are great guitars. I used to own a J45 Legend till I played that 2013 Limited Edition 1935 AJ. About a year after I bought that AJ, I sold my J45 and my D-28. That AJ is my number 1 acoustic.
