Black Dog
Interesting comparison. They both sound good but the Burstbucker sounds dry in comparison. Lots more harmonics from the Custombucker.
brad1
Never tried the custombucker before. But I love the Burstbucker Pros.
NHTom
Interesting...I have an R8 with custom buckers and a 2010 standard with burst buckers and a harness upgrade. This is (in my opinion) a really accurate comparison. To my ears, they sound very similar, but the custom has just a hint more to it.....a bit more "open-ness" that I really like. Slightly better individual string definition. Glad to know the difference I hear with my own guitars isn't just my imagination. Either one is a GREAT pickup for sure. NHTom For the pickups used in the video, I think the BB's are potted and CB's are not. Same for yours I believe. Unless you bought your BB's as parts.
