Californiaman
So I walk into my local shop, Jensen's it's called, and hanging on the wall behind the counter is a beautiful Les Paul. The guy tells me it's a Historic '58. I can see right away it's got one major issue though, there's overspray or stain all over and running up and down the length of the neck binding. I'm tripping. $3,100 for this? It's pink for crying out loud! Had to be a second from the factory I thought. My next thought was "why the hell would Gibson's quality control people let that get out the factory? It should have never been allowed to leave the factory. Have any of you ever seen anything like that? I'll try and sneak a couple photos of it this weekend to show ya', but I'm still blown away by the sloppy QC. littlekenny
yup, the finish bleeding is "Vintage Correct" and if Gibson didnt have it all the cork-sniffers would have a heart attack
Tim Plains
I think if you sun tan the guitar, you can get rid of most of the bleeding.

modoc_333
yeah, it's not overspray. the dye from the back bleeds due to the heat from your playing. after a while, it fades away. 100% normal and OK.
