Larsongs Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 I did get the Memphis Blacktop with NHS HB's & Bigsby & it's agreat Guitar.. I like it a lot! I wanted to get get the Goldtop with P90's & Bigsby but they were discontinued a couple years ago.. They are very scarce in the Used Market & seem to sell, equipped like in the Title, quick.. Is there any chance Gibson will be re-issuing them in the near future??? Does anyone know???
Black Dog Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 I'm sure (mostly sure) they'd make you one M2M. Edit: looks like I was wrong. I see that they aren't offering the ES LP currently.
Wmachine Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 It appears to me that Gibson can't get sales to sustain the small semi hollow models, even though they keep trying to reinvent it. First the 137, then the ES-LP, now the 235. They even claim the 235 to be an instant classic. Didn't happen before, so I don't see it happening now.
Larsongs Posted June 20, 2019 Author Posted June 20, 2019 My Gibson ES Les Paul at about 7 lbs. with a Bigsby is a great alternative & a delight to play compared to my 10 lb. Les Paul Std. Plus w/o Bigsby.. Both look & sound amazing. Guess which one makes it to the most Gigs.... My Epi Casinos with Bigsby's are only about 7 1/2 lbs.. Even my ES335 is lighter than my LP.???? Seems like ES Les Paul's would be more popular?
