Please help identify my Les Paul model

D Mac

Recommended Posts

I just inherited a mint condition 1987 model Les Paul, which I think is a tobacco burst.  The serial number is 82657522. It has been in a case under a bed for about 30yrs. The only thing missing is the truss rod plate so I don’t know if it’s a Standard, Custom, Studio, etc.  Any help  would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

I thought it might be an 87 Custom Lte but with no headstock binding or Grover style tuners it looks to be an 87 Standard with the stock Kluson style Gibson Deluxe Tuners.

similar to this one on eBay..
