Feedback..Quick question , recreational player...takes on the 2020 Paul Tribute and have opportunity to pick one up for 700 ...good buy...used mint

I bought a new Tribute in 18, it was $800. It was ok, just didn't ooze much quality, seemed dull playing and sounding. I sold it a bought an Epiphone. The Epi instantly felt better. They really are great guitars.

They are no frills, satin nitro finish with dot inlays and no neck binding. But they are awesome sounding and playing guitars.

The frets are Plek'd for smooth fast playability. The 490R and 490T pickups are not too hot and not too cold, but just right. The bodies are 2 or 3 piece mahogany, no veneers on top or bottom to try to make 'em look better. And the fretboards on all three are a nice dark rosewood, not pau ferro or Indian laurel 🤮.

In short, durable, great sounding and playing guutars that you're not afraid to play in a rowdy bar.

I like these guitars a lot.

The 'rowdy bar' factor cannot be underestimated, and I love that you mentioned that about this model.

Many gigging musicians have one guitar that they are willing to take to play the clubs and bars and get beer spilled on, but they usually have one or two at home that they are uber-precious with.

I fancy the white one, personally.
