Does Gibson make a guitar similar to the Jackson Browne Model 1 which has been discontinued.

I had a Model A. Very loud and very bright. I wasn't too crazy about the sound and wide neck. I had two other versions, one hog and one rw. The rw was my favorite. Once I acquired a NL 12 fret, I sold the Stage Deluxe RW.

I also had an AJ Gold which was also walnut back and sides like the Jackson Browne. Very powerful guitar and had the same sound.

I once started charting the dimensions of some of the guitars. Here's one that includes the Jackson Browne.

The JB Smecks went out of production some 10 years ago.  I recall the folks at Sweetwater working overtime to put me in a Model 1.  While I cannot explain it my gut reaction was to pass.  In retrospect it all worked out as down the road I found it was not a model I should have been kicking myself in the butt for not jumping on when I had the chance, while the money I did not spend ended up going for a 1932 12 fret L1.

In terms of similar guitars, Gibson, of course, has been offering modern takes on the Roy Smeck models off and on since 1993 or 1994.  There are also offerings from other builders.  Although I know of one builder who has come out with a maple body "Super Smeck" I cannot think of any who are offering a 12 fret, un-tapered jumbo walnut body guitar.  So, that would leave you with having to wait on a used JB to pop up or going with a Gibson M2M guitar.
