You Can’t Make This Stuff Up

North, South, it doesn't matter.  It becomes ingrained to you regardless.

I was raised, as you can see under my avatar,  in the all white enclave called Lincoln park, Michigan.  At the time I was growing up it was all white.  These days it's all pretty much changed.  It's a multi racial/cultural  enclave now.  But when I was a kid,  the racist speech was pretty much ingrained in the vernacular.  We never caught a tiger by the toe. It was years before I learned the correct name of the nut was Brazil nut.   You could be with a group of friends and all of a sudden they'd all jump on top of one of them yelling, "Ni**er pile on Donny!"(or whomever).   In my teens , if you took a drag off of anybody's cigarette and left the end of it wet, it meant you n**ger-lipped it.  If a car went by with two guys in the front seat and one in the back it was known as "riding n**ger".   Luckily, some of us learn better as we age.  Unfortunately,  too many don't.
